I did have to laugh when he waved play-on for a foul on one of the Chelsea players (Willian maybe?) outside our box towards the touchline, then called him back for the freekick when he was about to shoot from a much, MUCH better position.

He needs his bank account look at. see if his had any payments from Russia. Bent as a ten bob note.

Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
All his fuck-ups favoured one side, who had set about fouling and play-acting themselves back into the game they were losing on skill, pace and organisation.

I call that taking the piss.

Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
I may well be in a minority of one, but I did not see too much of this bias others saw

I did see an utterly incompetetent official way out of his depth, who continually misread situations and failed technically in critcal situations, eg the free kick situation

Not sure the penalty was down to him to be fair, he was behind play and looked to take a call from his lino

Dont get me wrong, the bloke is a useless cunt not worthy of touching grass again but not sure he was biased

It's my view that it will come out sometime in the future that a number of these referees are getting influenced by betting syndicates, sponsors or other rich benefactors.
Not suggesting this guy is involved but throughout the season there are too many decisions which favour certain teams.

Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
That stretch in the second half, especially after Carroll came on, was an extraordinary display of bent refereeing - something you'd be shocked to see in Turkey or Ukraine, let alone in a London Premier League derby.

Fucking taking the piss.

Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
it was longer than twenty minutes. id say the whole of the second half and the second part of the first half the cunt let terry, cahill and mikel have free reign on any west ham player. that's why Chelsea had so much pressure. he just allowed the cunts to foul us and the ball came straight back

Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
Terrible decision for the penalty but I am not surprised. We have been getting stinkers all season. The thing about decisions evening themselves out is utter bollocks.

Unless we get a ruck of decisions for us in these last few games of course.

I haven't been this fucked off about a miscarriage of justice for a long time. We could have possibly been going into the break crowing for a fortnight about being top 4.

One thing though, I'm wondering if this and what happened last week may be of some benefit later, as they will be angry and feel cheated and that will be festering for 2 weeks. I reckon Palace may feel the backlash.

I'd like to see the sequence of decisions he made throughout the game yesterday, because it seemed to me he didn't give anything to West Ham for a twenty minute stretch in the second half.

Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
Mad Dog 10:26 ~ I admit I might be wrong but I thought there was a tiny bit of unintentional contact by Antonio a yard or 2 outside the box

The Chelsea player then clipped his own heels as he dived in the box. Definitely not a penalty, & only (possibly) a free kick a yard or 2 outside the box

I'm sick of poor refereeing decisions constantly going against us in nearly every game this season

I thought Payet should have had a penalty at OT in the cup. That was definitely contact in the box. In the same game their goal should never have stood because of the foul on Randolph by Shweinsteiger (who was also offside incidently)

The penalty awarded to Everton that Lukaku missed was given for a foul outside the box

That's only our last 3 games!

Poor refereeing decisions against us in almost every game this season have cost us so many points

Luck might even itself out over a season but this is not down to bad luck!

I bet this ref doesn't even have 5 GCSE passes.

If you employ idiot cunt referees; you get idiot cunt refereeing performances.

It's as simple as that.

This is spot on. Think it was Emenike who was pretty much wiped out from behind not long before the penalty, but the referee gave nothing. Same all day, Terry climbing all over Sakho, various Chelsea players wrapping their arms around ours, Carroll being blatantly pulled by Mikel to stop him from getting the ball. Nothing from the referee.

It's no good complaining in the sense that nothing can be achieved, but I'd like to think Slaven went and had a nice long conversation with Madley after the game. Hopefully Madley will be feeling very ashamed tonight, and something bad happens like his wife leaving him or something along those lines.

Look at the delay before the "penalty" decision was made - fucking ridiculous the whole thing.

Jack antonio didn't touch him. He kicked his own heels to go down

Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
As at the middle of January, Madley had awarded 10 penalties in 15 PL games, the highest of any referee up to then. Can't find any up to date figures. I hope he is embarrassed tonight if his decision is picked apart on MOTD.

DJH 10:10 Sat Mar 19
Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
The way he refereed the 2nd half was really bizarre, he let loads of what seemed decent shouts for fouls for us go that you left feeling something wasn't right, the decision to award the penalty really was in keeping into how he officiated that 2nd half.

I don't think anyone can deny that a referee looking to give a decision awards a penalty for that incident today whereas someone officiating objectively and with a bit of integrity simply would not have pointed to the spot on what they could see sadly Mr Madley doesn't appear to possess any of those qualities so little point expecting anything else to happen.

jack flash 9:44 Sat Mar 19
Re: Robert "Bobby" Madley
Both their goals came directly from poor refereeing

For the 1st goal the free kick was not taken from the right place. While the referee was marking the pitch for the 10yard mark, the Chelsea players moved the ball back at least 2yards, making it easier to get the ball up & over the wall (which was then 12yards away rather than 10 yards away) It should have been retaken

For the 2nd goal the foul took place at least a yard outside the box. Free kick on the edge of the box. No penalty
